Being as since the developer of par3 is the author of Multipar, I would
probably use multipar:

Thank you! This worked for me.

* Go to the folder: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\MultiPar\tools\'
* Copy 'par3j_old.exe' to the base folder (\MultiPar\)
* Rename it to par3j.exe
* Enjoy

I wouldn't bet on it.

I stand corrected. Didn't read closely enough, missed the "3" in the
OP's subject line.

I haven't used Multipar, will take a look at it. However, it's not
listed at any popular freeware website that I'm aware of other than here:

http://multipar.software.informer.com

There's a screenshot available there. Multipar's interface is almost
identical to Quickpar's except for a few alterations needed to enable
handling of newer type par files.

I've been using Quickpar for years and it still works for me. That's
probably because I haven't run into par3 technology yet.

That's version 1.2.1.8. MultiPar 1.2.2.5 beta is also available.

I haven't got a clue; I don't use it. For now, QuickPar has done what I
want. Like John, I haven't encountered PAR3.
