"WordWeb is a one-click English thesaurus and dictionary that can look up words in almost any program. It works off-line, but can also look up words in web references such as the Wikipedia. It includes full dictionary and thesaurus for the various English variants including American, British, Canadian, Australian, Indian and global.

A Pro version is available with additonal features."

True. However, this version number is not evident when downloading from
wordweb.info. You have to first install the 'update' before you find
out what version you have got. I have often found - having installed it
- that I have exactly the same version as before.

P.S. The portablefree.com link is still showing v 10.40.

[I have been using Wordweb for a long time. I love the 'select word +
click' easy access to an offline dictionary. It is unmatched in its
convenience.]

I use it often myself. :)

Regardless of whether the version number has been updated on portablefreeware.com, the download link for the Free version is always
https://uk.wordwebsoftware.com/downloads/wordweb10.exe

With this program, I always check the date on their server first using GetFileSize.
