"CCleaner is a feature-rich system optimization and privacy tool. The program cleans unused, temporary and log files from your system, as well as traces of online activities such as Internet history and flash cookies. The program contains startup controls for Windows, major internet browsers and context menu entries. Includes a separate registry cleaner, duplicate search, system restore tool and can wipe both deleted files and drive free space for security.

A 64-bit version is available (within the folder). Monitoring functions are only available in the pro version."

If you're only interested in the Custom Clean feature, download the Portable version and only keep the CCleaner64.exe and portable.dat files, along with the ccleaner.ini file that's created by the program.
If you want to update it, just replace the CCleaner64.exe file.

I know I shouldn't use it since AVAST has taken this over, but BleachBit
can be confusing.

CCleaner's Custom Clean works the same for me as it always has, and it's much easier to use for keyboarders than other cleaning programs.
You're not worried about the AVAST takeover?

I'm not aware of anything to be worried about.
Is there something that concerns you?

I have a Firewall rule to block CCleaner for prevention of anything like that.

Are you not worried that Bleachbit has no 'restore' (or 'undo') option?

I have backup images. But I hardly use BleachBit; I still use CCleaner
every now and down, although I'm concerned about AVAST selling our data.

I'm getting a 'severe threat' from Defender.

Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml

Probably a false positive.
